COUNTER Reports Update

Dear Subscribers,

We wanted to make you aware that after a thorough planned review, Silverchair has released corrected COUNTER usage reports for January 2021 through January 2022. We urge you to sign in to your administrator account to view and download current reports.

Although the results fall within the acceptable margin of error as defined by COUNTER, we wanted to make sure you have the latest information and share with you the steps Silverchair has taken to ensure accuracy going forward.

To ensure that COUNTER reports are correct and consistent going forward, Silverchair will:

• Implement new automated tests to check how the platform logs and processes usage data.
• Create internal analyses to compare broader traffic or web analytics with COUNTER usage reports.
• Increase Silverchair’s industry participation in COUNTER working groups and other cross-industry initiatives.
• Improve Silverchair’s internal process controls, lines of accountability, and team education around usage reporting and COUNTER.
